Tax plan 2025

Tax plan 2025

In September it was Prinsjesdag again, a Dutch tradition that goes back to 1814. On this day – the third Tuesday in September – the King presents the government´s plans for the new year and beyond.

From the tax plan 2025, we have selected a few topics that deserve your attention. The expat tax break or 30 percent rule will be tightened, but less quickly than expected. Vacation rentals will be subject to stricter rules, and self-employed individuals in the Netherlands will pay slightly more taxes. Dividends in Box 2 will be taxed slightly less, and a third tax bracket will be introduced. Also, on Prinsjesdag, the State Secretary sent a letter to the House of Representatives about the new Box 3 system (property tax).

In eight new videos, we update you on the new developments.

Next, in this video, we explain how things will proceed with the legal restoration in Box 3 following the rulings of the Supreme Court.

Do you rent out a second home as a vacation rental? Then there will be changes regarding VAT, as we explain in this video.

From 2025, dividends from the BV will be taxed less. Watch this video to learn more.

The rules for donations to charities from a BV will change, as Danny explains in this video.

It’s always a good idea to schedule an appointment with your advisor before the end of the year to review your personal situation. Together, you can answer the key questions: What should I do with my Box 3 assets? Should I still build up more pension? Is it wise to convert my business into a BV?

You are most welcome to schedule an appointment with your regular advisor at NAHV. Email us at nahv@nahv.nl or call 020 – 622 55 09.

See you soon!
